The incident in brief
On 9 February 2023 the Boeing 777 flew at cruising altitude south of Marseille in French airspace. An overheating oven caused a lot of smoke. The smoke as well as the application of the Halon fire agent resulted in breathing difficulties by 3 cabin crew members and 12 passengers. After 20 minutes the smoke stopped. The aircraft then returned to Schiphol and landed safely.
