Construction and fire
People should be able to feel safe in buildings and public spaces. Therefore, the Dutch Safety Board can investigate building safety issues. When investigating fires, the Dutch Safety Board looks at everything related to fire prevention and fire fighting. The Board pays particular attention to circumstances in which citizens depend on others for their safety.
The Dutch Safety Board can investigate safety issues in relation to
- structural safety
- occupational safety and
- constructional fire safety throughout the life cycle of structures, i.e. the construction, use and demolition of structures.
