Interim statement Dutch Safety Board

This interim statement provides a process update on the investigation by the Dutch Safety Board into the serious incident involving an ASK 13 at Nistelrode glider airfield on 4 June 2022. The collection of factual information has been completed. Currently, the investigation is in the analysis phase.
During an instruction flight, the control stick came loose during the winch launch at a height of approximately 50 metres. The instructor was able to replace the control stick and continue the flight.
The investigation focuses on possible modifications to the control stick to prevent similar occurrences.
The final report of the investigation will be published in due course.
