Risk awareness to ensure safety on board

The thematic study of this Shipping Occurrences Report is about risk management on board. Many incidents arise from an incorrect or incomplete understanding of risks. The thought is often that an action can still be done or the ship will fit, but in practice that does not appear to be the case. By being more aware of risks and making an informed assessment, safety on board of shipscan significantly improve.
