Joint investigation sinking self-propelled floating equipment "Zander", 24 November 2014

On 24 November 2014 the inland waterway vessel Zander foundered, which happened close to the German island Norderney. The two Danish crew members were found floating lifeless in the water. The Zander was on its way from Copenhagen to the Netherlands where it would be delivered to the Dutch owner. Because of the Dutch involvement the Dutch Safety Board was requested to participate in a joint investigation.
On 10 May 2016 the German safety board, Bundesstelle für Seeunfalluntersuchung (BSU), published the final report.
