Container ship Flevodijk collided with the Sea Wall of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge
On August 19, 2011, the container ship Flevodijk collided with the Sea Wall on the northern side of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge.
The Flevodijk was damaged on its bulbous bow and along with some recesses and broken holes, and she broke part of the Sea Wall at the same time, but there were no casualties. The Japanese Transport Safety Board published a report.
