Interim statement ‘Runway excursion, Daher TBM-700, Kempen Airport Budel ’
This interim statement provides a process update on the on-going investigation by the Dutch Safety Board into the accident involving a Daher TBM-700. The event occurred at Kempen Airport Budel (EHBD) on February 6th 2023.
Due to a technical problem the engine produced more power during landing than usual. As a consequence, the air speed during landing was higher than normal, whereupon the aircraft did not stop on the paved runway. It overran the runway and came to a stop in the grass. The aircraft suffered damage.
The gathered information is being analysed. It is expected that the final report will be published this summer.
