Interim statement ‘Fly-away after loss of connection, DJI Matrice 210 V2, Amsterdam’

This interim statement is a process update of an ongoing investigation by the Dutch Safety Board into the accident involving a DJI Matrice 210 V2 drone. The accident took place in Amsterdam on 26 July 2022. This process update is given because the investigation is taking longer than a year.
The operator had the drone take off from a bridge for the flight controls check. Shortly after, the drone stopped responding to instructions. This resulted in a fly-away. The drone hit a tree and was damaged.
The investigation is in the analysis phase. The report will be published in the last quarter of 2023.
