Interim statement Britten-Norman BN-2B-20 Islander

This interim statement provides a process update on the investigation by the Dutch Safety Board into the accident involving a Britten-Norman BN-2B-20 Islander on Juancho E. Yrausquin Airport, Saba, Caribbean Netherlands on 13 February 2023.

During the landing on Saba, the aircraft collided with the rocks at the runway threshold, before reaching the runway, where it completed a hard landing. The aircraft suffered substantial damage to its right wing. The pilot, two passengers and a dog were able to leave the plane unharmed.
