Collision in the air, Comco Ikarus C42B, Cessna 172N, Stadskanaal, 22 April 2006

During a local flight above a built-up area a microlight aircraft (MLA) collided with the cable of a banner that was being towed by an aircraft. The MLA crashed and caught fire. The pilot did not survive. The tow plane was not damaged and the pilot was able to make a safe landing on the aerodrome of departure.
