Airprox, Hélicoptères Guimbal Cabri G2, PH-HCC en Aero Sp.z o.o AT-3 R100, PH-ZVA, Lelystad Airport
The Cabri helicopter was carrying out a local training flight in the helicopter training circuit from Lelystad Airport, which is located within the training circuit for airplanes. The helicopter made a right turn to the crosswind leg. At that moment, an aeroplane performed a go-around and passed above the helicopter. This resulted in an airprox between the aeroplane and the helicopter.
Pilots must adhere strictly to the circuit dimensions as shown on the visual approach charts, unless instructed otherwise by air traffic control. There are circuit markings on the ground under the downwind leg. By flying over the first marking at the beginning of the downwind leg, sufficient separation from the helicopter training circuit is guaranteed.
