Learning in Aviation is vital
The Dutch Safety Board investigates serious incidents in commercial flights to identify causes, risks and safety lessons. Although, passengers sometimes experience little of incidents involving technical defects or operational disruptions, it remains important to investigate those incidents as well. The causes and safety lessons will help airlines take appropriate measures where necessary to prevent major incidents in the future.
Chris van Dam, chairman: ‘Passengers should continue to board the aircraft carefree and be able to rely on a high level of safety.’
